Here's some suggestions for the next version of Hyperballoid: Create a section on the arkanoids page, where community members can upload their custom made Hyperballoid 2 levels. I think this would make Hyperballoid 2 much more appealing. you could then create the ability to upload these extra (free) levels to the next version of Hyperballoid. (Just like Reflexive have done with theior best seller Ricochet infinity. I'd also add an options panel where you can select which power ups you want as well as the frequency. I'd add lots more power ups, but limit the game to only being able to use a specific number. Also add a slider to control the ball speed. This could be additionally to the two ball speed power ups, or as a full replacement. With the above changes (or additions) it would make the game much more versatile, and each player would be able to taylor the game to their own player preferences. There's so much more you could do such as create power ups that change the bat shape and ball shape, which would directly affect the control of the ball (providing the physics of the game could cope with it - This is available in the game Breakquest) What if it was possible to create an in game editor that was able to mix and match power ups, say add ing two power ups together. Or being able to create your own custom made power ups.

Comment about the game:
Have you had any thoughts about setting up a section where users can post their custom made levels for Hyperballoid 2? (I did get someone Emailing me about setting a site up, but nothing came of it).I've now familiarized myself with the editor and think it's as good as Ricochets editor and I think if there was somewhere for those who buy hyperballoid 2 to post their home made levels we would get a site similar to what reflexive have with their ricochet series. There's over 60 thousand home made levels available for that game, which makes it a much better buy. Once the site has become established, you could even do what they did with richochet infinity and have a link directly from a later version of Hyperballoid wherby you can upload custom made levels. Wiuth a scoring system so that community members can get a better idea as to whether a level set is worth downloading. I do hope there is going to be a follow up toHyperballoid 2. I'd add a section where you can select what power ups your going to get on each level as well as the frequency. This would enable you to make the game much easier to tailor to individual likes. you could also put a bal speed regulator in the form of a slider. i for one find the slow ball and fast ball power ups a waste of space and would much rather be able to control the balls speed by the use of a slider. This could be accessible at all times so that the ball speed could be adjusted while in game. If you do decide to create the option to be able to select which power ups you want I would add a lot more power ups to the pot. The more the merrier in my opinion. I'd also make it possible for members to be able to add their own music to the game, and even back grounds. There are loads of sites available where you can download images that would fit with the hyperballoid themes. This has become one of my top three arkanoids. The other two being Acky's XP Breakout and Ricochet Infinity. There's no other 2D arkanoids that give so much to the player (including decent editors) I'd like to say a big thank you to the developers for upgrading the original hyperballoid. (I'm still playing some of the level sets, which amazingly, even after a few years I've still not finished. (You made so many levels lol)

Comment about the game:
Sorry Marc,m I've not checked back here till now (18th March) thankfully the Alawar team answered your question. Personally I just opened up the editor and messed around to get the feel of the controls. That's about all I ever do as I ignore the instructions. It probably takes longer to learn this way, but once learned it's not forgotten, whras reading from a set of instructions never stays in my head as I've not made as many memory pathways to remember the tutorial. Try it I think despite the initial effort, it saves time in th end. As for the game. I still thinkit's one of the best 2D Arkanoid around, though after revisiting Aky's XP Breakout, I still think that one is the tops. :)
