A fairly good game! But gameplay is a bit repetitive - I like it though.. Did all levels in 2h. !

Comment about the game:
Virtual Farm is a good game and I enjoyed playing its demo. It's very accessible and tooltips help you quickly getting started : Get the water from the well, plant seeds, harvest and sell your goods... The gameplay is simple and during the one hour demo I was able to harvest 6 crops and plants (Tomatoes, roses, watermelons...) but only to produce milk after creating my first building because at first I didn't really understand how the market worked. You have to balance your prices depending on the demand. For example if the demand for watermelons is high you can set higher prices and there's even a handy indicator to help you. Some minor problems : Some items are not “tooltip-ed”, queued tasks are not well represented (Check marks, not numbers) and I was also forced to demolish my first building. Some cool features : Letters to read (Missions to complete), upgrades (Field, well, storage...), the market... and of course the whole green-garden-farm thingy. On my computer (1280x1024) the graphics were a bit blurry but nice enough. The gameplay is everything I was expecting and more because the full version seems to have far much features (60 fields !), even if I fear it gets repetitive too quickly. The difficulty is well balanced but I think some young players might have trouble understanding how some things work : Queueing tasks, setting the right prices... These things are not explained using tooltips so the “tutorial” has some flaws, but it taught me most of the things I needed to know to enjoy the demo. Last but not least, the sounds are pretty cool, nothing fancy, and the music quite peaceful. To sum things up, I strongly recommend playing the demo but I'm not really sure I'll buy the full version because of its price and I'm afraid the gameplay finds its limits after a few hours. For example managing multiple farms could be interesting, exchanging goods with other farmers...
